Proteas as cut flowers
|

Proteas are shipped overnight to Roger's Gardens from our special grower in Hawaii.
|
When Roger's florists receive the plants, the stems are re-cut and crushed for an inch or
two in order to maximize water intake.
You can do this again at home when you cut the stem to the length you need, or repeat
the process after about a week to extend the floral life.

Roger's also recommends that you mix
Oasis Floral Preservative into the water with
all your cut flowers to extend their life. Ask any cashier for this product. At 25¢ a packet,
it's a great value.
Proteas will generally last two or even three weeks in the house when you follow
these recommended procedures. They can also be dried.
