Debbee Thibault Biography |

Debbee Thibault |
“Older toys are kissed and hugged over and over again by generations of little children. That’s the feeling I tried to convey with my work.”
Debbee Thibault made her first Santa in 1985. Inspired by the charm and simplicity of old toys and candy containers, Debbee chose materials such as paper, cloth, and wire to create her unique Santa’s. As her creativity grew she began to design a variety of items including rabbits, rag dolls and Halloween novelties.
In 1993, Country Home Magazine did a feature story on Debbee Thibault’s work, and in 1995 she designed two Santa’s that were sold only through Country Home.
Due to the overwhelming response Debbee Thibault received from the article, she decided to create a product that cold be manufactured in America using her own-patented process. This allowed Debbee to provide her collectors with a quality piece of American Folk Art that is truly American made.

In July 1996, Debbee Thibault created a line of 18 charming collectibles figurines in an affordable price range, each with an edition limited to 2,500 or less. She has continued to build the collection each year with new spring and fall lines.
This exciting collectible is made of a paper composition with a resin binder that is poured into molds taken directly from her original paper mache designs. Each piece is hand painted and the pressed paper charms are added. All pieces are signed and hand numbered.
Her workshop is located in Southern California where Debbee and a crew of talented people share their passion for building an all-American dream.
Her work has been featured in several publications, including Mary Englebreit’s Home Companion, Victoria’s Magazine Country Living, Better Homes & Gardens Holiday issues, and the cover of Gumps Holiday catalog.
“Each piece in this collection is a signed, limited edition and made of a paper composition--- like a fingerprint they are truly unique.”
