From Nashville, Tennessee, Gaye’s art has been a lifelong interest. When visiting her sister, Margaret Larkin, about fifteen years ago, she saw the tree her sister made from their mother’s antique jewelry. She loved the idea and started collecting jewelry so that she could make trees for her friends. The hunt for unique jewelry continues today so that she can create that one-of-a-kind treasure. Estate sales, and flea markets as well as gifted bags of jewelry from friends and family, she has a category for most anything. It takes hundreds of pieces to give a tree or orb dimension and interest. Finding new and unusual pieces always inspires new projects. Gaye hopes that you will find that one of a kind jeweled piece that will capture your interest and stimulate your heart and mind. |
