RECIPES
Genovese Dolce Fresca Pesto
Ingredients:
• 2 cups packed Genovese Dolce Fresca Basil leaves • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil • 1/3 cup pine nuts • 3 garlic cloves, peeled • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Wash and dry the Genovese Dolce Fresca Basil leaves and remove any tough stems.
In a food processor, pulse together the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic until coarsely chopped.
Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, and pulse until combined.
With the food processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil and continue to process until the pesto is smooth and well blended.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Transfer the pesto to a jar or container and store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Serve with your favorite pasta, or use as a topping for pizza or bruschetta. Enjoy!
